Alexander Technique


Margaret Heaton, MSTAT, ARCM

Margaret Heaton trained at Fellside Alexander School and The Constructive Teaching Centre and qualified and became a Member of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique in 1989.

She had previously studied violin and singing at the Royal College of Music and was a member of the Halle Orchestra and she enjoys combining her skills and bringing her experiences into her Alexander work with performers.

Margaret has extensive experience of teaching the Technique at Chetham’s School of Music and The Arden School of Theatre and joined the Alexander Technique teaching team at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2004.

She works with the Laudamus Girls Choir, leads workshops with choirs in the Manchester area and has been teaching on National Youth Choir courses since 2004.
